progress report

I haven't been here for a while...
They say that when you have a baby you have no time to do anything... it's true... it's not easy to find a second to eat something, or pee, or sleep...  etc...
but it's worth it... right? Right?!?
hmmm...

Natalie Karina has arrived!!!!

Born on December 28th, 2005 at 07:07am.
6 pounds 13 oz
20 inches long

hmmm... i sure wish i was in the hospital now... but nooooo... i'm still preggo and - well - i don't feel bad (minus the sleepless nights) - i'm actually ok... i'm just not a very patient person...

I have made my doctor promise she'd induce me on my due date, if i don't deliver before the 28th.  Which is a good news - yet it's more than 10 days away... and the days feel like years now...

k... i need to stop bitching... so - Christmas again, eh?  somehow i never get too excited about holidays - mostly because my memories of the past ones are not all that good... but this year - with the belly and stuff - i'm actually quite happy...

so, meatball? why don't you show up before Christmas, hmmm?  pretty please?

Saturday, December 03, 2005

turns out?  the meatball is a big 6.5 pound monster that is hiding near my spine... now - that means that if she keeps on gaining 0.5 pound a week - i may end up with an 8 pounder which sort of scares me... So anytime after wednesday she is welcome to pop out (I'll be 37 weeks on the 7th - which makes the baby full term...)

so i'm eating spicy food and pineapple, and hoping the next contraction i feel is the real one!

an update...

i have survived thanksgiving! which is nice...

the flight was not too painfull, the drive back however - well let's just say - sitting in a car with your belly 2 inches below your nose is not the most comfortable - but - i made it - and that's what counts, right?

i had my obgyn appointment today - and yet again I'm measuring small - as in less than two weeks ago, what the hell?  AND i have gained 5 pounds - so if the kid is not taking it - where IS it going?

I have another ultrasound tomorrow morning to check what's going on... I'm less worried than last time - but since it's closer to my due date (and i will officially be full term next week) - i need to think about packing my hospital bag and installing the baby car seat thingy...

and it's supposed to start snowing tonight - so yay!
